Dear IPW1 Participant,
Thank you for your continued interest in the 1st Ice Prediction Workshop. This letter provides more updates and information as we get closer to the event.
- TEST CASES and EXPERIMENTAL DATA: All of the information required to set up and run the cases along with the experimental data for comparison should now be available on the workshop website: www.icepredictionworkshop.com
- COMPARISON STANDARDS: We are finalizing the set of standards for comparison of simulation results to the experimental data. These standards will provide for uniform comparison plots across all participants. We will notify you when this document is posted to the website.
- SUBMISSION DEADLINE: We are in the process of updating and likely extending the data submission deadline for the workshop. At this time, it is looking like AIAA will conduct the workshops associated with the Aviation Forum virtually/remotely. Therefore, we are re-evaluating the dates of our ice prediction workshop and we intend to update the schedule and data submission deadline. We are waiting for a final, official decision from AIAA regarding the virtual format of the workshops associated with the Aviation Forum before we announce the updated schedule for our ice prediction workshop.
- SURVEY: In our last email, we stated that we are developing a survey to gauge the numbers of cases being run by all participants. We understand that all participants may not be able to complete all of the baseline cases. Our goal is to encourage participation as best we can. The purpose of the survey will help us to plan an agenda for the workshop. We understand that our participants need to know the updated schedule and data submission deadline in order to accurately complete the survey. Therefore, we hope to introduce the updated schedule and the survey at the same time.
Thanks again for your participation in this activity,
IPW1 Organizing Committee.
